My first very real NSV
I talked about NSV (non scale victories) a little bit last year. If I recall I was talking about ordering I dress I couldn't return and hoping it fit. Well just in case you were staying up until the wee hours of the morning wondering if that dress ever did fit, the answer is a very honest, very blunt HELL NO! The dress came in the mail and after opening it up with much anticipated excitement I began laughing hysterically. I'm pretty such any average sized elementary school student could have fit into it. I order it from Zulilly, a popular sale site in a Plus Size 2X. I really should put it on and take a picture because it's THAT funny.
WHOA, that was totally off topic. Moving back to yesterdays' NSV.
I know I mentioned before I haven't lost a single pound recently. I've been getting pretty down about it. I actually went to my doctor and demanded a blood test because after working out pretty aggressively for almost 3 full months, and eating WAY healthier than I normally would the scale hasn't shown any movement. ANYWAY... Yesterday I busted out the tape measure. Something's got to give right. Measured my neck... nope, hips... nope, thigh... nope, waist... nope now I was just down right depressed. My last measurement was my arms. As I wrapped the tape measure around my upper arm I just felt like crying... and then I recorded my measurement. 2 INCHES DIFFERENCE? Wait, this can't be right! I measured again... and again... and again. I really must have wrote the measurement down in November wrong... but in the back of my mind I know I didn't.
So, my hard work IS paying off. Not in the direct ways I would like it too, but it is. And for that, I'll celebrate! By cheering of course, no celebration with food :)

Yea! Two inches off your arm is pretty dang amazing!! I understand you want to lose weight but while you wait you are staying healthy for your family. That's quite an accomplishment in itself. Love you. Kay (Sarah's Mom)
