Weighing In - Week 1
So my family and I have started this Healthy Train, so to speak. Basically, we all gave $25 to a pot and are trying our best for 6 months to loose as much weight as possible and the winner takes all. Simple in concept, incredibly hard to put into action.
This week... I lost.3lbs! (notice the . in front of the three!)
Why does loosing weight have to be so hard, and why is food such an addiction? Seriously though, consume less than you use, add some light exercise and TA-DA you are on your way to bikini season! Ya, I wish! I started reading a book last night called "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst. Check it out here. I'm only a chapter in but I love her writing style, it reminds me of someones... oh ya, my own! Basically though, or at least my understanding this far is changing your current craving (food) into craving God. I'm pretty much loving this idea and I'm excited to read the rest of the book.
I'm frustrated on this track that I"m on and so desire to change, yet I'm struggling with finding exactly how to incorporate such change into my life. I will not give up, is basically my motto this time around! I"m excited to be sharing this journey through writing, and I'm sure I will have my fair share of embarrassing stories, struggles and successes (I hope.) I hope if you are reading this, and continue to follow me through this you can find encouragement in some way or another. I plan to be real, I plan to be honest and I plan to be the best that I can be. With that said, thank God tomorrow is a new day, because Super Bowl Sunday came with a lot of calories this year!

It is super hard, but you are gonna do great!
ReplyDeleteI am reading "Unglued" by Lysa--really like it so far, and I would like to read "Made to Crave" at some point too!
